A brazed plate heating exchanger relays heat from one liquid to another. Being smaller than standard gasketed refrigeration brazed plate heat exchangers, the plates actually connect directly to the hot and cold sides of the system. Refrigeration Equipment - Why Use Refrigeration Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers? As refrigeration equipment, the brazed plates are used to maintain temperatures at specific levels inside the units. Standard brazed plates would develop cracks and damage after long use and this would reduce their efficiency over time. With this refrigeration equipment, the brazing process does not damage the unit and the process does not require frequent replacement of the plates. They also require low maintenance so that they do not need to be frequently upgraded or replaced.



The Refrigeration Process - How They Work: The Refrigeration Brazed Plate Heat exchangers actually contain two layers - the solid oil cooling layer and the gas air cooling layer. The solid oil cooling layer works in conjunction with the heat sink to regulate the process cooling. When it is time to lower the temperature, the oil cooling layer automatically does so. Once it is time for the gas cooling layer to kick in, the gas will pull the temperatures up from the desired level.

Installing Refrigeration Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers: The brazing process of these refrigeration plate chillers can either be installed with the help of an installer or by using a do-it-yourself kit. Both the systems have the same principle and are equally effective in cooling. A compressor should be hooked up to the refrigeration unit while both air and oil cooling pumps should be hooked up into the compressor. Once the system is installed, the evaporator and compressor should be linked through an air duct. The refrigeration brazed plate heat exchangers are typically installed in a part of the compressor.

The heat exchangers are given high marks because they are extremely cost effective. The only disadvantage is that the efficiency of these components diminishes over time.
