The heat exchanger industry involves more than 30 industries such as HVAC, pressure vessels, and water treatment equipment, forming an industrial chain with each other.
Jacketed heat exchanger
Structure: The jacket heat exchanger is mainly used for heating or cooling in the reaction process. It is made by installing a jacket on the outer wall of the container.
The jacketed heat exchanger is a type of partitioned wall heat exchanger. It is made by installing a jacket on the outer wall of the container and has a simple structure; however, its heating surface is limited by the container wall surface and the heat transfer coefficient is not high. In order to improve the heat transfer coefficient and make the liquid in the kettle heat evenly, a stirrer can be installed in the kettle. When cooling water or a phase-free heating agent is passed into the jacket, a spiral partition or other Increase turbulence measures to increase the heating coefficient on one side of the jacket. To supplement the lack of heat transfer surface, coils can also be installed inside the kettle. Jacketed heat exchangers are widely used for heating and cooling in the reaction process.
The jacketed heat exchanger is mainly used in the reactor. It is installed on the outside of the reactor to form a closed interlayer, so that the fluid enters the interlayer and performs heat exchange with the materials in the reactor through the wall. The structure of the jacketed heat exchanger is relatively simple, and the heat exchange can be performed at the same time as the reaction of materials, eliminating the trouble of setting up another heat exchange equipment. The disadvantages of the jacketed heat exchanger are that the heat transfer surface of the jacket is not large, the jacket gap is relatively narrow, the fluid flow speed is not large, and the heat transfer coefficient is not high. Jacketed heat exchangers are mainly used in applications where heating with steam or cooling with cold water is used to control the reaction temperature and pressure in the reactor. Because the jacket cannot be cleaned, it is not suitable for medium that is prone to scale and dirt to enter the jacket.
The jacketed heat exchanger is equipped with a jacket on the outer wall of the container to make the structure simple; but its heating surface is not high due to the limitation of the container wall surface. In order to improve the heat transfer coefficient and make the liquid in the kettle uniformly heated, it can be installed in the kettle and stirred When cooling water or phase-free heating agent is passed into the jacket, a spiral partition or other measures to increase turbulence can be provided in the jacket to increase the heat supply coefficient on the side of the jacket. The lack of surface can also be installed inside the kettle coil. Jacketed heat exchangers are widely used for heating and cooling in the reaction process.
It should be noted that the jacketed heat exchange reactor, its outer cylinder is an internal pressure vessel under the pressure of the medium in the jacket, and the inner cylinder is an external pressure vessel, so the jacketed medium must be controlled during the production process. If the pressure exceeds the allowable pressure value, the inner cylinder of the reactor may be unstable and be crushed, causing equipment damage.
