First of all, the cleaning and maintenance process of plate heat exchangers is generally divided into chemical cleaning and mechanical cleaning.

1. Chemical cleaning

Oxalic acid cleaning

No matter which kind of cleaning, you must carefully analyze the medium, and observe whether oxalic acid can react with dirt and whether there is any phenomenon of corrosion of the plates.

First, during the first cleaning and maintenance of the plate heat exchanger, install water injection valves in the inlet and outlet valves of the secondary network of the heat exchanger, without disassembling the heat exchanger, inject 3%-5% of oxalic acid into the equipment, and use the cycle The pump performs cycle cleaning.
Wash twice, once for 3-4 hours.

After cleaning with 2% trisodium phosphate, rinse with water twice.

Formic acid cleaning

The use of formic acid for plate heat exchanger cleaning effect is better, because adding buffer and surface membrane active agent, formic acid can also reduce the corrosion of the plate.

Flushing: Before pickling, the equipment should be flushed to remove surface impurities, dirt, silt and other substances, which can improve the pickling effect while saving acid consumption.
Pour the cleaning agent into the cleaning equipment and then into the plate heat exchanger to start the pickling work.

Pickling first: After soaking for 2 hours, then dynamically circulating for 3-4 hours, and alternating positive and negative cleaning every half an hour. If the pH of the pickling result is greater than 2, the cleaning agent can be used again, and the pH is less than 2 to neutralize Expelled.

 

 

Post-alkaline washing: After pickling, the trisodium phosphate and softened water are matched according to a certain ratio, and the heat exchanger is cleaned by dynamic circulation again. The purpose is to neutralize the acid and alkali without damaging the equipment.

Washing with water: After the above steps are completed, rinse with demineralized water for half an hour to completely remove the internal impurities.

Record: Mainly record the time of each step, and finally check the cleaning effect.

2. Mechanical cleaning

The so-called mechanical cleaning is cleaning with a brush, but it has the following disadvantages

It is easy to wear the plates and it is easier to accumulate dirt.

The equipment needs to be disassembled and cleaned, which will damage the gaskets and plates

The labor intensity is high.

Therefore, this method is not commonly used, but while cleaning each plate, you can check whether the plate is worn and replace it in time. It can be cleaned with a soft brush. This method is suitable for the equipment when the dirt is just formed, without the formation of hard dirt.
