What factors affect the service life of the elastic gasket of heat exchanger

The plate heat exchanger is composed of a large number of plates. There are four corner holes on the plates for the two liquids to pass through. The plates are installed in a frame with a fixed compression plate and a movable compression plate on one side, and clamps are used. Tighten the bolts, and there are sealing gaskets in the grooves around the plates. The sealing gaskets seal the fluid channels and guide the fluid to alternately flow into the respective channels to form heat exchange. The plate and the movable pressing plate are hung on the upper guide rod and positioned by the lower guide rod, and the rod end is fixed on the support column.

Before the plate heat exchanger sealing rubber gasket is fixed, the plates must be pressed tightly with a press, and then fixed with tightening bolts and nuts. In this case, it is necessary to ensure that the plate heat exchanger will not be deformed or leaked. When the liquid flows into the inside of the plate heat exchanger, the active down pressure of the two high-temperature media gradually increases from small. At this time, it is necessary to ensure that its pressure is less than the rated pressure capacity of the plate heat exchanger.

Factors that have an important influence on the service life of the elastic gasket:

1) The working mode of the plate heat exchanger (continuous or discontinuous)

2) The corrosiveness of the heat dissipation medium and the cleaning agent used

3) The maximum working temperature The maximum working pressure The stress of the elastic gasket is relatively low due to excessive pressure and unbalanced pressure.
