Casing heat exchanger is suitable for small-capacity heat exchange

Each section of the casing is called "one pass", and the inner pipe (heat transfer pipe) of the process is connected by a U-shaped elbow pipe, and the outer pipe is connected in a row by a short pipe, and is fixed to the bracket. Heat is transferred from one fluid to the other through the inner tube wall.

Usually, a hot fluid (A fluid) is introduced from the upper portion, and a cold fluid (B fluid) is introduced from the lower portion. Both ends of the outer tube in the sleeve are welded or flanged to the inner tube. The inner tube and the U-shaped elbow are connected by flanges to facilitate the cleaning and increase and decrease of the heat transfer tubes. The effective length of each heat transfer tube is 4 to 7 meters. This heat exchanger has a heat transfer area of up to 18 square meters, so it is suitable for small-capacity heat exchange.

Advantages: Simple structure and high pressure resistance. The heat transfer area can be increased or decreased as needed, and the application is convenient.

Disadvantages: There are many joints between the tubes, which are easy to leak. The floor space is large, and the amount of metal consumed per unit heat transfer surface is large.

The floating head end structure of the floating head heat exchanger is composed of a cylinder, an outer head cover side flange, a floating head tube plate, a hook ring, a floating head cover, an outer head cover, a wire hole, a steel ring and the like.

Advantages: When there is a temperature difference between the heat exchange tube and the housing, when the housing or the heat exchange tube expands, they are not restrained from each other, and no temperature difference stress is generated. The tube bundle can be withdrawn from the housing to facilitate cleaning between the tubes and the tubes.

Disadvantages: The structure is more complicated, the amount of materials is large, and the cost is high. If the sealing between the floating head cover and the floating tube sheet is not strict, an internal leak occurs, resulting in mixing of the two media.
