For a fluid with the same flow rate, the smaller the pipe diameter, the greater the resistance to flow, the more the pressure loss will increase, and the thinner pipe will be easily blocked by dirt. This makes cleaning difficult, so the diameter of the heat exchanger is generally 16 mm to 32 mm.
The arrangement of the tubular heat exchanger has a triangular arrangement and a square rotation at a 45° angle. Why?
The arrangement of the triangles and the arrangement of the squares at a 45° angle have their advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of the triangular arrangement are compact, high heat transfer efficiency, the largest number of tubes on the same tube sheet area, about 15% more than the square arrangement, but it is not easy to clean the outer surface of the tube; and the square is rotated at a 45° angle to clean the outer surface of the tube. It is more convenient, but the number of tubes is much smaller than the triangle arrangement.
Why do the bolt holes of the heat exchanger support have a round shape and a long round shape?
The bolt holes on the fixed support are rounded in order to secure the housing to the foundation. The bolt holes on the movable support are long and round, so that the shell can be freely stretched when subjected to temperature changes to avoid large stresses to protect the equipment.
