NFT technology is particularly suitable for detecting corrosion, erosion or pitting of the inner wall of carbon steel pipe. Since the depth of penetration of the vortex is limited to the inner surface of the pipe, the shape of the fins on the outside of the pipe does not affect the NFT probe.
